Award-winning author and folklorist Dr. Rachel González-Martin will speak about commemoration and memory in the Latinx communities at 6:45 p.m., on Sept. 15, as the West Texas A&M University Distinguished Lecture Series resumes for the fall semester. González-Martin, an associate professor of Mexican American and Latina/o Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, will present "Quinceañera: Ritual, Celebration, and Coming of Age" at the Thursday evening lecture.
