Name: SOLD OUT! Downtown Amarillo Walking Tours
Date: October 10, 2015
Time: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
Amarillo is a city steeped in architectural and cultural history. Come and learn the city’s secrets  - everything from hidden murals to architectural sources - by joining Associate Director of Curatorial Affairs/Curator of Art and Western Heritage, Michael Grauer, on a walking tour of downtown Amarillo. Spaces in the tour are extremely limited, no more than 20 per session. Participants are encouraged to wear walking shoes and dress for the weather. It will be the participant’s responsibility to arrive at the meeting site in downtown Amarillo on time as the tour will start promptly at 10am. Tours will begin at Herring Hotel and will conclude at the Santa Fe Building. We will also stop for a short break at the Palace Coffee Company at the Paramount during the tour for refreshments. Tickets will be available for purchase online by visiting www.panhandleplains.org and clicking on the calendar link or web banner. Tickets are $25 per person, regardless of age. Due to the small spaces in some of the buildings that we will be visiting, strollers are not permitted. Tour will last approximately two hours. For more information please contact Amy Mitchell at (806) 651-2242(806) 651-2242.
