Join us for the screening of Dream, Girl in celebration of

Global Entrepreneurship Week

November 14th – November 18th, 2016

We know the names of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg. But what about the female entrepreneurs? What’s their story? From brand new startups to million dollar industries, it’s time we stop telling girls they can be anything they want to be and show them what it means to be a leader.

Dream, Girl, is a feature length film telling the stories of 10 inspiring female entrepreneurs, showcasing the moments that helped them achieve success to the struggles they encountered along the way. Feeling stuck in the corporate culture and frustrated with her career, producer and director Erin Bagwell, quit her job, raised $100k with a Kickstarter campaign, hired an all female crew and turned her dream of producing a film into reality.

On Thursday, November 17th, all the way from New York City, Erin Bagwell will be visiting Amarillo to present the screening of Dream, Girl followed by a Q&A Session with Erin Bagwell, Creator of Dream, Girl, LaChristian Taylor, Governor’s Commission for Women and Wendi Swope, owner of Double U Marketing. We invite you to the screening party to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, and to support the growing female entrepreneur community in the Texas Panhandle. The screening, held at The Bowery Warehouse will feature a red carpet, drinks, hors d’Oeuvres, meet and greet with Erin, the premiere of the WT Enterprise Center 15th Anniversary video and the main event, the screening of Dream, Girl. Meagan Collier with KAMR NewsChannel 4 will be the hostess for the evening. For more information on this event see below or click here to purchase your tickets.

Women from across the Texas Panhandle also have the opportunity to attend an exclusive brunch the morning of the 17th, to hear from Erin Bagwell, creator of Dream, Girl and LaChristian Taylor, Executive Director for the Governor’s Commission for Women. The brunch will also have four breakout sessions for female entrepreneurs to enhance their knowledge or learn valuable skills for leadership.
