DESCRIPTION:The United Way of Amarillo & Canyon announces the presentation of the 2017 Community Status Report\, on Friday\, Oct. 27 at 10:30am in the Bud Joyner Auditorium at the downtown Amarillo College campus\, 1314 S. Polk Street.\n\n\n\nThe event will unveil the results of a year-long data collection and assessment project illuminating the successes and challenges facing Potter and Randall Counties in the impact focus areas of Income\, Education\, Health and Basic Needs. The report is presented as a tool for all citizens\, non-profit agencies\, government and business to use in strategic planning and social service investments in the year ahead. Attendees will receive a copy of the report and an overview highlighting encouraging trends as well as issues challenging our community.\n\n\n\nNOTE TO MEDIA: Aaron Howerton\, Vice President Community Impact\, Belinda Crelia-Palacios\, Senior Director\, Community Impact and Katie Noffsker\, Executive Director will be available for interviews after the event at 11:30am.
