Tasting Room Attendant

We are seeking a friendly and professional Tasting Room Attendant to provide an exceptional experience for visitors in our winery or tasting room. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves engaging with guests, offering tastings, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that highlights our commitment to quality and hospitality. Prior experience in fine dining, food service, or hospitality is highly valued.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide informative tastings of our wine selections
• Serve samples responsibly while adhering to food safety and handling standards
• Educate visitors about the wine production process and our product offerings
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting area, including glassware and tasting stations
• Assist with food preparation or pairing suggestions when applicable
• Support event setups such as banquets or catering functions as needed
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and company policies
• Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times
• Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food handling or serving tasks

Skills

• Previous experience in fine dining, restaurant service, or hospitality environments is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Experience in serving, food preparation, or catering enhances effectiveness in this role
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Barista experience or background in the food industry is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Prior banquet or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
